It’s that time of year: puberty classes for Grade 5. You remember those days, don’t you, when your mind is filled with questions that you are too afraid to ask? To make things easier for our students, boys are separated from the girls and they have male and female teachers, respectively.
Last week, the girls were talking about breast development when 10 year old Kathy piped up.
Kathy: Um, I don’t want to sound rude or anything, but some women, like Mrs. O’H., for example…. Well, how did she feed her kids?
This naturally led to a discussion on athletic females and body fat.
Two weeks ago, I was impressing hormonal pre-teens with my 5-inch medal. Last week, I’m modelling how sports impacts our body. I can only imagine what might be next.
Oh. My. Gosh. !! Well, that will be a good story to tell for years to come!
Wow, they must be relaxed there if they are willing to ask the harder questions. Kudos to you.
Boobs. Most every girl wants them…until they become a runner. (I can't wait for nursing to be over so mine can go away!)
You are leading the future being an example of all kinds of great things!
Hahahaha…ha.ha…gasp…hahahahahaha…
